Your therapist will complete a biomechanical and gait assessment, as well as take a scan of your feet in order to obtain your best fit and ensure Custom Foot Orthotics are appropriate for your condition.

Orthotics are recommended for:
- Joint pain in the toes, foot, ankles, knees, hips or back when standing, walking or running
- People standing and working on concrete/hard surfaces
- People who play sports regularly
- People with diabetes
- People with foot problems such as bunions, corns, fallen arches, etc.
- People with bow-legs or knock-knees
- People who suffer from sore feet on a regular basis

Will These Be Covered?
Most insurance companies will cover Custom Foot Orthotics with a prescription from a medical doctor, which can be obtained via virtual appointment. All orthotics are required to be paid in full by the customer and submitted to insurance with the appropriate paperwork.


Functional Capacity Evaluations

Lilian completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She previously obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree from the University of Alberta. While overseas, Lilian worked as a hydrotherapy assistant and completed her Hydrotherapy for Chronic Diseases certification. She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese.

Inspired by her interest in learning about the human body, her competitive dance background, and her desire to help others, Lilian found her passion in physiotherapy! She enjoys working with people of all ages and believes in a comprehensive approach that involves hands-on manual therapy, as well as exercise programs. Lilian is committed to providing patient-centred care that prioritizes the individuals’ needs, preferences, and goals.

Amal is a highly experienced Stony Plain physiotherapist who brings nearly two decades of hands-on knowledge, clinical expertise, and compassionate care to every patient interaction. Since earning her physiotherapy degree in 2005, she has been dedicated to helping people manage pain, improve mobility, and return to the activities they love with confidence.

She treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and holds specialized training in women’s health physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation (for vertigo and balance concerns), and IMS/dry needling. Amal is also a certified Manipulative Therapist through the Swodeam Institute, which supports her precise and effective hands-on treatment style.

Whether it’s a sports injury, postural dysfunction, or persistent tendonitis, Amal enjoys treating pain from head to toe. Her approach blends manual therapy, functional exercise, and patient education to build customized, goal-driven treatment plans.

**Physical Therapist PT BScPT**

A sports injury and subsequent treatment by a highly skilled Physical Therapist (PT), inspired Caroline (Carol) to pursue a career in physical therapy herself. She feels it’s been the perfect fit and still loves her work after 30+ years in practice.

**Education Experience**

Carol graduated from the University of Alberta in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Carol has over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and in leading teams of physical therapists and other rehabilitation professionals in various healthcare settings.

Carol believes that the best patient outcomes are achieved through a collaborative approach to care and by taking the time to listen, observe and carefully assess a patient to understand what is most important to them. She feels it is a privilege to assist patients achieve their goals and regain their function and quality of life

Much of Carol’s clinical experience and interest has been within specialized clinical settings treating both adults and children with complex injuries and conditions.
