Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy addresses the problems that limit somebody's movement or functional activities in their daily lives. This could be pain from a recent or old injury or stiffness from a chronic injury. Physiotherapy can help with soft tissue injuries such as tendonitis, sprians and strains, joint pain or nerve pain such as a pinched nerve or sciatic pain. We use a variety of techniques to help with your pain such as hands on therapy where we work on the muscles and joints, acupuncture or IMS, exercise therapy and electrotherapy.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic health physiotherapists have specialized training to assess and treat people experiencing problems with their pelvic floor.
Commonly treated dysfunctions:
* Urinary issues: incontinence (leaking), urgency, frequent urinating
* Bowel issues: incontinence (leaking), constipation
* Pelvic pain both internally and outside the pelvis
* Prolapse
* Painful or difficult intercourse

Kinesiology
Our Kinesiologists are highly trained in the field of human movements, performance, and function. With their knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics they can help you improve your physical conditioning, prevent injuries, and manage chronic conditions. Kinesiologists work with clients of all ages and physical abilities, including athletes, individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses, and those recovering from injuries. During your session, your kinesiologist will perform an assessments to identify physical limitations, develop customized exercise programs, and provide guidance and support to help you achieve your goals.
These sessions may be eligible under your wellness benefits account! At this time Kinesiology is unavailable for direct billing.
Custom Orthotics
We have partnered with a local Alberta Orthotics Lab to provide you the best quality Custom Foot Orthotics. Your therapist will complete a biomechanical and gait assessment, as well as take a scan of your feet in order to obtain your best fit and ensure Custom Foot Orthotics are appropriate for your condition.
Orthotics are recommended for:
- Joint pain in the toes, foot, ankles, knees, hips or back when standing, walking or running
- People standing and working on concrete/hard surfaces
- People who play sports regularly
- People with diabetes
- People with foot problems such as bunions, corns, fallen arches, etc.
- People with bow-legs or knock-knees
- People who suffer from sore feet on a regular basis
Will These Be Covered?
Most insurance companies will cover Custom Foot Orthotics with a prescription from a medical doctor, which can be obtained via virtual appointment. All orthotics are required to be paid in full by the customer and submitted to insurance with the appropriate paperwork.
Compression Wear Fittings
We offer medical grade custom compression garments as well as over the counter compression socks. Your therapist will complete a compression garment assessment and various measurements in order to obtain your best fit and ensure compression is appropriate for your condition. Compression socks help treat:
- Venous insufficiency
- Varicose veins (swollen or enlarged veins)
- Pregnancy swelling
- Heavy legs from sitting for long periods of time (flying, driving or sitting job)
- Chronic leg swelling
- Lower extremity injuries and fractures
- Diabetes
